Rielly said the Winter Games are the perfect time for the app industry to showcase the games and showcase the athletes, adding that the Games are a great way to showcase Canada and showcase sports across the country.
“It makes a huge difference.
You have all these amazing athletes in the games, and they’re able to showcase their skills and their skillset, which will allow for a lot more fans to see that,” he said.
Riell added that while the Olympics are a very different experience to other sports, the Winter Sports Meet app will be just as important.
“It will be an excellent way to get people to connect with the athletes and their teams,” he told CBC News.
The Winter Sports meet app will feature a list of games and sports in the country and will show the results of the games based on the medal counts.
