NC State has had a few different coaches in its coaching ranks since the 1980s.
In the last decade, the Wolfpack have gone from a Division I program to a Big 12 Conference program.
Now the program has its first two men’s basketball coaches in Bobby Hurley and Greg Gard.
The Wolfpack has also had two women’s basketball programs in Lauren Smith and Carli Lloyd.
Now that the Wolfpacks men’s program is up to three women, NC State will need to look at replacing those two.
This year, NCSt will have three players (D’Angelo Russell, D’Angelo Henry and Carla Pritchard) and one freshman (Carmen Hester).
Those three players are expected to make their way into the starting lineup as soon as the NCAA tournament begins.
The two freshman will be joined by one of the four freshmen on the roster who are currently freshmen (a redshirt freshman and an all-freshman).
That leaves three scholarships left for players who have played in college or will play in college in the coming weeks.
The three players on the team are a combination of freshmen, transfers and incoming freshmen.
All three players will need time to adjust to the Wolfs program.
